Drive Academy

Drive Academy VR, developed for the Meta Quest 3, offers an immersive and comprehensive driving learning experience. Whether you're a complete beginner preparing for your driver's license or an experienced driver looking to refine your skills, Drive Academy VR provides a safe and controlled environment to practice.

Key Features

• Realistic Driving Simulation: Experience true-to-life vehicle physics and handling, including acceleration, braking, steering, and gear changes (automatic transmission simulated).
• Interactive Cockpit: Interact with the car's interior components, such as the steering wheel, turn signals, handbrake, and seatbelt. Full hand tracking (where supported by the Meta Quest 3) enables natural interactions.
• Virtual Instructor: Receive real-time audio feedback and guidance from a virtual driving instructor. The instructor provides instructions, tips, and corrections, adapting to your driving performance. The route will automatically recalculate if you deviate from the planned course.
• Dynamic City Environment: Drive through a detailed virtual city with diverse road layouts, including two-lane roads, single-lane roads, and smaller intersections. Encounter realistic traffic and traffic signals.
• Practice Scenarios: Master essential driving skills through various scenarios, such as navigating intersections, obeying traffic signals, overtaking other vehicles, and respecting speed limits.
• Feedback and Evaluation: Receive a detailed report after each driving session, highlighting your performance and identifying areas for improvement.
• Customizable Experience: Adjust settings, such as session duration, from the in-game pause menu. If you feel ready to drive independently, you can disable the instructor's tips by enabling the "Free Mode" session.
• Haptic Feedback: Feel a variety of vibrations on the touch controllers, depending on the in game interactions, for example: changing gear, turning on indicators, or crashing.

How to Play

1. Launch the application and access the main menu.
2. Adjust settings as desired.
3. Start the simulation! A tutorial will guide you through the basics on your first run.
4. Follow the instructor's guidance and practice your driving skills.
